In a sleepy, nameless Alabama town in 1922, the mood is calm. Nothing affects the town. Even during the Great War, the town hardly changed. The townspeople are satisfied with a calm and ordinary existence. It is in this town that they have been at peace, been safe, and it is in this town that for some of them, the adventure of a lifetime begins.
