Hi! So, I've not really touched this website for years. It's fallen into disrepair and it would be irresponsible of me to pretend I'll ever have time to work on it again.

So, I'm going to mothball the site/set it to read-only. I've disabled the login links because they stopped working any I don't remember enough about how the site works to figure out how to fix them.

If any thing *really* needs updating (deadnaming-level stuff), let me know and I'll go in on the backend and make changes.

Description

This is a story about the end of the world.

At some point, it became inevitable. The first bomb was launched, then the next, and the next, and within a few days the radiation clouds had spread, and covered the world. Those who survived retreated to underground silos, to live out our lives beneath the surface.

With no way to contact other silos, we formed our own societies, our own rules and laws, our own ways of living.

We estimated it would take 200 years for the radiation to clear enough to make radio contact with the other segments of humanity.

That was a story about the end of the world.

And this is a story about what comes next.

The Always Winter is a segmented LARP, divided between regular role-playing and fable-telling, about culture clash, moral dilemmas, and the stories we tell to understand each other.
