Hi! So, I've not really touched this website for years. It's fallen into disrepair and it would be irresponsible of me to pretend I'll ever have time to work on it again.
So, I'm going to mothball the site/set it to read-only. I've disabled the login links because they stopped working any I don't remember enough about how the site works to figure out how to fix them.
If any thing *really* needs updating (deadnaming-level stuff), let me know and I'll go in on the backend and make changes.
Larp: The Dare
- Description
by Emily Care Boss and Kenneth Hite
"The Artist's feeling is their law."
Romantic writers gather in Lake Geneva, Switzerland: Lord Byron, Percy Byshe Shelley, and Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin (she would marry Shelley later that year) in 1816--the haunted summer where the sun barely shines and snow falls in June and July. People fear famine, with Europe still recovering from the end of the Napoleonic wars. The Romantics look to the realm of emotion for inspiration to make Great Art. These artists read ghost stories and embark on making their own creations--including Frankenstein and The Vampyre.
Players take the roles of these creators in their tangled emotional web, as well as the characters from their works of art. And in dreams, the authors must face their own creations, as well as their own fears.
A freeform larp. Thematic sequel to Darkness Visible, with a simpler structure. No knowledge of Darkness Visible is needed to play.
